PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS

ENTERING THE PROGRAM MODE :

1. Install jumper (Connect pin 12 on IC-403 to ground)
2. Turn radio on
3. Press "Program Priority" (puts radio in program mode)
4. Press "10" (clears the display). The radio is now ready to program.

PROGRAM FORMAT : AAAAAA B C DD ZZZZZZ "Enter" Ch No.
CHANNEL PROGRAMMING STEPS

1. Receive frequency (Six digits, AAAAAA)
2. Simplex /Repeater Code (One digit, B)
   for Simplex B = 0;
  for Repeater, B = 8

3. CTCSS Code (One digit, C)
   Transmit CTCSS, Receive CTCSS C = 0
   Transmit CTCSS, No Receive CTCSS C = 2
   Receive Only Channel C = 4

4. CTCSS Code (Two digits, DD)
   See table at right

5. If an eight (8) was entered for "B",  then key in the transmit frequency
      (Six digits, ZZZZZZ)

6. Press the "ENTER" button on keyboard.

7. Press the channel number that you want
   this data stored.

8. Program the other channels by repeating
        steps 1 through 7 for each channel to be programmed.

9. Turn radio off and remove program 
   jumper.
