What is the difference between a MSF and a PURC?
A MSF is normally set up as a base station or a repeater. The PURC is normally set up as a Paging Transmitter, without a receiver. If the PURC does have a receiver it is usually on a band different from the a PURC transmitter.
What is the difference between an Analog and a Digital MSF?
The primary difference is in the control shelf and how they are programmed. The Analog (CLB) series is programmed via an R-1801 suitcase programmer, whereas the Digital (CXB) series is programmed with a PC software package and a RIB box. The digital MSF's have many more programmable options than the analog versions.
Option codes are used to identify the many options available for the MSF's.
